Music for politicians (spot the odd one out)

David Cameron

Forget Bumford & Cunts for a second.

I think if I was in a band and David Cameron said he liked my band’s music, I’d have a long hard look at my band’s music. It says quite a lot about a band when even someone as smarmy, grasping, duplicitous and downright evil as a Tory politician can like them….

It must be nice to know that in some small way your music has helped to shape the man who has gone on to shape the UK.

No class warfare here!

Likewise, Boris Johnston. (Who wouldn’t resist a patriotic call to arms like this?)

Likewise, Republican Paul Ryan. (No, I don’t know who he is either. Just think it singularly appropriate that such an obvious corporate sell-out of a band should be appreciated by such an obvious corporate.)

Not sure Thatcher ever really appreciated the finer nuances of La Bragg’s nasal charms, though.

Or Costello.

And I really don’t see Putin falling for this band’s glamour any day soon…
