Hey, listen up. Seriously. I’m open to any and all syndication offers. Could start a whole new water cooler craze.

George Pringle – Salon Des Refuses
Posh girl discovers her cool uncle’s cache of old Ze and Chicks On Speed records and realises the best way to attract sexual partners is to act cool, disinterested and slightly intoxicated as the disco lights flash. Not from Brighton, but  should be.

Michael Jackson & The Jackson 5 – The First Recordings
Famous dude dies. Famous dude was still famous when he was but a wee famous dude. Famous wee dude had famous brothers. Famous wee dude’s fame far eclipsed his famous brothers even while he was alive… but now? Whoa. The re-branding gathers pace here. Sound quality is that of the YouTube generation.

Dolores O’Riordan – No Baggage
Everything that is wrong and sucked-dry about popular music from the last two decades is contained within: over-stimulated guitars, echoed sequenced histrionic shrill vocals, lyrics that bask in the grey light of cliche and shared (i.e. mundane) existence, production that will haunt me for years to come. Makes U2 sound deep yet still oddly and horribly fascinating, like going to see Hanging On for a fifth time.

Tiny Vipers – Life Of Earth
Much reverb. Much silence. Much emotion. Many drapes being swirled around in the golden light of the morn. Even more reverb. For ‘proper’ appreciation of music, make sure you retire before 10pm with a babysitter.
