Song of the day – 92: Tender Trap

That’s Tender Trap, not Temper Trap for all you musical bozos out there. What can I say? This is from the new album Dansette Dansette by Amelia Fletcher’s Tender Trap, and it’s as crushworthy and cute and gorgeous and laced through with a love for 60s femme pop as much as you could possibly desire. Or perhaps you desire more? Wow. That’s all I can say. Wow!

She sang at our wedding, you know.

I once wrote a review of her first band Talulah Gosh in the NME that took me (and quite possibly them) years to recover from.

I’d imagine the photograph above is ridiculously out-of-date. Maybe not. It seems to be taken from the video below.

    Wish I still had it. Might be in my fanzine somewhere…. Hmm. I'll have a look. The first two words are "Remember fun?" – I know that, because a band named themselves after that phrase.
