Song of the day – 191: Roxy Music

Damn straight Song of the Day 191 is Roxy Music. I’ve a whole bunch of new music to share with you on this blog series, but just had to run this past you first. This is pure energy and swagger and 70s art school cool, with a vocal that makes me squirm with unfamiliar and delightful thoughts even now: and I can’t believe it’s taken me till just 30 seconds ago to realise the debt Howard Devoto and Magazine owed Roxy Music.

And I absolutely HATE Bryan Ferry solo.

For whatever reason, this video inspired me to go find some early Genesis videos. Not sure the connection.
