Song of the day – 140: The Choo Choo Trains

You tell me. Am I wrong to go on friends’ recommendations?

This one comes courtesy of Sarah Datblygu – a woman I would trust with my collection of Jim Steranko’s Nick Fury, and also the drummer in an extremely fine London band indeed, but of course you all know that, and if you don’t then there’s no need to be covered in embarrassment, go click on the link above and have yourself a listen. Phew. Anyway, The Choo Choo Trains might almost be too surfer-beach-party-twee for even me… um, there’s that name for a start… but this band have a totally excellent instrumental to their name, and there’s an even finer YouTube video to said instrumental available, and if you don’t appreciate the poignancy and fragile brilliance of said video, then shame on you.

Shame on you! Why am I reminded of that Babes In Toyland instrumental from their debut album? That’s just crazy thought.
