A great band hailing from Hobart who were around for 10 years in the 90s/early 2000s, but never officially released any recording. LUGs played a one-off reunion gig on Saturday in Melbourne to commemorate the closing of the Punters Club in 2002.

shit, they’re good. just watching video of them in ’94. The Punters was a fine club, too. I used to live just behind it.

Linda (vox) and Bean (guit) play in The Dacios and country duo The Bulls these days. You should check them out, ET. Linda is an amazingly intelligent and kick-arse woman. These guys are good mates of mine.

Absolutely. ET Recommends – 49: The Dacios. (I wrote about them for Bust as well.)

P.S. I checked out Bulls, on Rene’s suggestion, and they are indeed fine. You can hear them here. Gotta love a lady who loves Thalia Zedek.

My name is Everett True. I am a music critic. This is what I do. I criticise music. The clue is in my job description – music critic. I do not consider myself a journalist, as I do not research or report hard news. I do not consider myself a commentator as I believe that everyone should be a participant. I criticise people and in return I am not surprised if other people criticise me. It is part of the whole deal of being in the public arena. I am Everett True. Believe in me and I have power like a God. Quit believing in me and I no longer exist.
