Paul McCartney + Dave Grohl

May I be the first to predict tomorrow’s headlines?

Foo, what a scorcher! Sir Paul ‘Wings’ it with (some of) the remaining members of Nirvana – exclusive* video

*Exclusive to Collapse Board and 10,000 other websites.

While we’re here… (from Twitter):

BREAKING NEWS The Beatles to reform for a special one-off 300-date tour, featuring Liam Gallagher and the surviving members of Wings

BREAKING NEWS they’re reforming Janis Joplin and the Big Brother Holding Company, fronted by Celine Dion.

BREAKING NEWS Mick Jagger to front Peter Hook, Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris in Joy Division reunion

BREAKING NEWS Three musicians who last got together a year ago to record an album, get together again to back up another musician

BREAKING NEWS Two musicians who’ve played on stage together earlier in the year, get back together to play on stage again

A couple of rather OTT versions of the news from sites that really ought to know better:

@pitchforkmedia “Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic haven’t performed Nirvana songs together in more than two decades.”

(Really? No wonder Nevermind was such a colossal flop. The fucking band never toured it!)

@guardiannews “Grohl and Novoselic have not performed together for the last 20 years.”

(That would be not counting Nirvana then. Or the last Foo Fighters album. Or Stinky Puffs.)

And finally:

Wouldn’t it make more sense to have John Lennon replace Kurt Cobain?

IT’S NOT FUCKING NIRVANA you deluge of fuckwits IT’S THE FUCKING FOO FIGHTERS

P.S. If this new line-up of Wings are looking to write a follow-up song, I have a title. ‘Removing The Magic From Life (Inch By Inch)’
