Kudos to you Brendan for going to EACH night. I managed to make it to two and had a great time. Keep on Dancins’ were a highlight as usual, as was, of course, No Anchor.

the consensus of those who persevered [though that makes it sound like hard work] is that the last performance was the best. I thoroughly enjoyed the first because it was the first time I had actually heard the band with a sympathetic sound system. I knew it would be a good week after that.

I particularly enjoyed the version of Gatton Bohemia on the Sunday night with a strobe and so much feedback i told my wife it felt a herd of mammoths stomping on a pod of dolphins while falling over a cliff and being attacked by pterodactyls in a lightning storm in slow motion. It was that good.

You understand now why I usually leave the words to professionals.

I was there on that last night – I think that’s the best I’ve seen the band play (though I’ve only seen them maybe a half dozen times). My other night was the experimental night, which was indeed experimental. Throat singing seemed to be involved.

This was a privilege to be a part of. Feathers were my pick of the supports, with special mention to Big Strong Brute’s unamplified set.
