Song of the day – 332: The Pleasure Seekers

Absolutely ADORE the dancing.

The Pleasure Seekers, in case anyone’s wondering, were the all-female 60s Detroit garage band featuring the Quatro sisters: Suzi, Patti, Nancy, and Arlene. And they kicked ass, considerably.

Suzi was 15 when they released their first record in 1964.

Patti went on to join Fanny.

I’m actually way more familiar with this song (the B-side of their debut single), because it used to be a staple of the Shop Assistants’ live set, with Sarah on vocals and Alex banging a beer bottle.
